音楽とビジュアルは切り離せない存在であり、アーティスト達の表現は音に限定されずさまざまな視覚的なイメージで私たちを楽しませてくれます。ビジュアルから音楽を感じさせるアートブックであり、音楽からアートを連想させる新しい音楽誌。それがTHE ALBUMの目指す事です。タイトルが示すほうに、この本にはCDアルバムが付属し、アートワークの“アルバム”と音楽の“アルバム”という両方の意味で名づけられています。収録されるトラックは参加アーティスト達によって構成されるバンド、もしくはフィールドレコーディングやノイズ、会話といったマテリアルを五木田智央がミックスして制作しました。
